This has been terrible for me to deal with since I have lived here. I live in the building next to this eyesore and the fact this crap exists makes me want to move more and more. The sewage/water runoff from this location has made our rear lot (2829 Gainesville St, SE) a pure swamp mess. There is a permanent water/sewage trail that leads from this construction and bisects our private parking lot. Misquitos and algae infested water hinder our ability to walk from our building to the trash dumpsters and our parked cars. Kids play in the site. It is a matter of time before one of those kids slip, fall and drown. This is an eyesore that needs to be 1)sealed off, 2) cleaned up and 3) and drained (PLEASE DRAIN THE WATER IN THE SEWER AND NOT OUR REAR LOT!!!!). DCRA HELP!!! IF NOT A SWEEP PROBLEM, what kind of PROBLEM is it? SWEEP has issued several fines/violations to my building alone but yet this TRAVESTY goes unnoticed. Why is this abandoned property out of jurisdiction for SWEEP enforcement? There's lots of trash and debris surrounding the property. Tires and mattresses are now thrown at the BROKEN gate. We can visually see trash in the sewage water. This shell of a property is out of control.
